Frequently asked questions
Will annotations change the original text?
No. Markup is held in a separate annotation layer. The words and images underneath stay exactly as they were.
Will other PDF readers show my annotations?
Highlights, notes, and shapes follow the standard PDF annotation format, so common readers display them without extra software.
Can I remove an annotation later?
Live annotations can be selected and deleted. Once you flatten them into the page on export, they become part of the artwork.
Can other people reply to a comment?
Threaded replies are part of the plan for shared review, so one note can carry a short discussion instead of a separate email chain.
How is this different from Add Text?
Add Text puts permanent wording into the page. Annotate leaves review marks that can be hidden, deleted, or answered.
When can I use it?
