The open password is needed to view the document. The owner password controls permissions such as printing and copying, and it is what allows those settings to be changed later.
How strong will the encryption be?
AES 256-bit is planned, which is the current encryption standard in the PDF specification.
What happens if I forget the password?
The file cannot be opened without it. Store the password in a password manager and keep an unprotected copy somewhere safe. Unlock PDF removes a password you know. It cannot recover one you have lost.
Can I stop someone from printing the file?

Should I email the password with the file?
